Airdrop auto declining since iOS 17.0.3 update

Airdrop keeps auto declining between my iPhone 13 Pro and my iPad Mini 5th Gen. Restart did help, but only one time. Any ideas!?

Hello KentishRose,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. We can see you're running into issues with AirDrop between two of your devices.A restart is a great steps to start with. If that did not work, you can try the following steps, and then test AirDrop after each step.

      • Make sure both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth enabled.
      • Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
      • Make sure if you ever use Personal Hotspot, that it is disabled.
      • Verify your AirDrop settings to see if either device is set to receive from Contacts Only or Everyone. You can check your AirDrop settings on each device by going to Settings > General > AirDrop.

Also, follow these steps to accept an AirDrop: How to use AirDrop on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support.

How to accept AirDrop
When someone shares something with you using AirDrop, you see an alert. You can tap Accept or Decline.

For most apps, if you tap Accept, the AirDrop will come through within the same app it was sent from. For example, photos appear in the Photos app and websites open in Safari. App links open in the App Store so you can download or purchase the app.
If you AirDrop something to yourself, like a photo from your iPhone to your Mac, you won't see an option to Accept or Decline—it'll automatically get sent to your device. Just make sure that both devices are signed in with the same Apple ID.

We hope this information helps you out.

Best wishes!
