Disable Beats Buds Autoplay on iPhone

The apple article here indicates that you can turn off autoplay on an iPhone in the bluetooth control panel.

In my beats buds control panel there is no way to turn off automatic ear detection and also no way to turn off auto play in "Music."

This creates a serious hazard to hearing and can play loud music with no warning and no way to turn it off.

I would like to disable auto-play of any music to the studio buds and or any other device.

Why has this option been removed?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 14

Hello Intracommunities, Inc,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. According to the two following resources below, the ability to turn off Automatic Ear Detection still exists:

1.) Set up and use your Beats Fit Pro - Apple Support

Here's how to turn Automatic Ear Detection on or off:
1.) Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
2.) In the list of devices, tap the More Info buttonNo alt supplied for Image next to your Beats Fit Pro.
3.) Tap the slider next to Automatic Ear Detection.

2.) Change the settings for your Powerbeats Pro - Apple Support

Turn Auto Play on or off
By default, your Powerbeats Pro sense when they're in your ear and receive the audio from your device. Powerbeats Pro also pause and resume playback when you remove one of your earbuds, or stop playback—and won't resume—when you remove both. When you have Auto Play on and you're not wearing your earbuds, audio plays through your device's speakers.
When you turn off Auto Play, all audio plays to your Powerbeats Pro whether or not you're wearing them.
Here's how to turn Auto Play on or off:
1.) Go to Settings > Bluetooth on your iOS device.
2.) In the list of devices, tap the blue information iconNo alt supplied for Image next to your Powerbeats Pro.
3.) Tap the slider next to Automatic Ear Detection.

We hope this helps you. Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

Thanks for the information on Beats Fit & Powerbeats Pro

As it happens, neither of those answer the question which was asked.

I'm asking about the Beats Buds, AKA: "Beats Studio Buds."

In the bluetooth control panel for this device, and similar devices in the latest OS, the "Automatic Ear Detection" option does not exist.

As this creates an immediate health hazard, please let me know how to turn off music auto-play.

I've just purchased Beats Studio Buds+

They are great, but I've noticed the Auto Ear Detection doesn't pause music (etc.) when you take them out of your ears. My Powerbeats Pro has this feature (being replaced by these). Can we please have this feature added, it's a valuable feature to save battery and for me to know that what I'm listening to will pause and I'll not miss anything. This is especially valuable for audio books and podcasts.

Cheers
