AirPods Pro hasn’t updated firmware

Previously it was connected to a Samsung. I recently connected using my iPhone 14 but noticed the firmware hasn’t updated to 6A305 & the case is not charging. Tried to reset it but that button is not working as well

Re: AirPods Pro hasn’t updated firmware

Apple Support's online article: About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support

says:

"Firmware updates are delivered periodically while your AirPods are charging and in Bluetooth range of your iPhone, iPad, or Mac".

Seems your AirPods firmware updates automatically via a Mac or Apple device

that is updated to the latest Mac OS or iOS software. NB: AirPods update quite quickly using a Mac.

Tip: You may need to leave AirPods connected to power overnight

with an iPhone (using iOS 17 or later) connected to wi-fi close by.

Updating Airpods:

The updates cannot be pushed. They update the next time they sync to a device that itself is connected to the internet. This is because they do not have their own IP address. So, connect them to your iPhone, and let all be for few moments. It will sync itself, sure enough.
