Erased Stolen Iphone

Recently, my Iphone was stolen from me and I locked it through Find my Phone and then I erased it. It says that it was Erased (day and time). I would like to know a few things:

1. Does it mean all of the data inside my phone is already deleted (e.g. photos, imessages)?

2.And after it was deleted, I no longer can locate it. Is it still locked or the thieves can now use it?

Thank you to those who will answer.

iPhone 13, iOS 17

If the phone got the Erase message, I think that means it has already erased itself.

The thieves will not be able to “unbrick it” and “make it their own” unless they have your Apple ID credentials, or you remove the phone from the list of devices associated with your Apple ID.

You may get “phishing” messages where someone falsely claims they are with “Apple Support” in an attempt to fool you into disclosing those credentials or removing the phone from the list. Do not fall for it.
