Inbox in Mail disappeared

4 new messages shown on Icon at bottom of screen.

Click on Mail app and no Inbox found.

Put ‘Inbox’ in Search and discover only one new message.

Re start in Safe Mode

Still no Inbox but all Mail from Inbox shown on screen.

New message arrives, cannot find!

Any help appreciated.

Contacted Apple Support.

Lovely lady I spoke with was very helpful, she was aware of ‘Inbox' issue, which had occurred for some after software upgrade.

Used ‘Favourites’ to locate ‘Inbox’ which had been moved during software update.

Once found just moved it back to correct location.

Looking further into this, I found the ‘Inboxes’ are appearing under three separate email accounts (have three accounts linked to one ‘Inbox’ in ‘Mail’, which have worked fine until today). Have used ‘Favourites' to bring three separate ‘Inboxes’, which are now appearing below ‘Flagged’ on list.

But what has happened to the ‘Inbox’ which used to appear at top of list, containing all messages received from each account?

Under ‘Smart Inboxes’, ‘Today’ is shown which did not show any messages earlier, but some have appeared now!

Has there been an update or change to ‘Mail’ which has effected this?
