Right-click on link and selecting "open link behind Mail" no longer works in Sonoma/Safari 17.0

We see you have an issue with right-click and opening a link from Mail. You mention having specific extensions installed. The first thing we'd recommend is to boot your Mac into safe mode (which will disable extensions) to see if the issue persists. This helps narrow down what might be causing the problem.

Start up your Mac in safe mode

If the issue doesn't persists in safe mode, the most likely cause is those extensions. We'd suggest removing them to see if booting up regular works. If the issue persists, the next best step is to create a test user profile. You will then log in to the test user profile (configure your Mail account), then test that function. If the issue doesn't persist in a new user profile, the issue is something within your user profile.
