Can't collaborate in Numbers now after updating to MacOS 12.7.

I recently opened up a Numbers sheet with which I collaborate with someone else on my 2015 MacBook Pro, and got the message "Can't Collaborate: To collaborate, you'll need to use Numbers on iCloud.com or Numbers on a newer Mac." Everything is updated - 12.7 Monterey, and the latest updates for Numbers. Is collaboration no longer offered for older machines? And, if so, what is the cut off age for collaboration? Thank you!

Numbers 13.1. Thank you for the very quick reply SG! I just spoke with an Apple representative and learned that the collaboration requirement is MacOS 13 or later. This just changed recently. I can't use the "Collaborate" button now, but I can share the file in another way still; however, if I want to update the file and be in sync with others that are collaborating, I will need to update the file on icloud.com. Here is the help page the great support person pointed me to in order to share my documents now. Thank you again for your fast response to my question.
