HomePod 2 Siri Issues

Good Evening everyone.

having a bit of trouble with my HomePod 2.

In my room I have a MacBook, watch, iPhone and the HomePod. Whenever I said hey siri, they would all pick up but then immediately cancel out as the HomePod was activated waiting for me to ask it to play music or ask a question.

Recently when I have said hey siri, my phone picks up but then cancels straight away, at the same time the HomePod starts listening and then aswell cancels meaning it doesn’t wait for me to say anything, this is the same for my phone. Am I doing something wrong? My MacBook has been turned off so this wouldn’t pick up, and my watch has been fine too. The only times it works is if I’m on call on my iPhone, if I’m on my iPhone. When it’s placed in the same room it starts to play up.

Any help or advice would be appreciated,

I've been encountering the same issue since updating the HomePods to tvOS 17. I have 3x HomePod 2018 and 1x HomePod mini; 2 out of 3 HomePod 2018s have this issue.

Knowing that 1 of the HomePods 2018s did not have this issue, I suspect it might be a software issue that I might be able to rectify by formatting the HomePods with issues and it turns out that was the case!
