Why can’t I change watch faces by dragging my finger side to side across the face?

Since updating to WatchOS 10, I can no longer switch between my different watch faces by dragging my finger side to side across the display. Any idea why?

Change the watch face on your Apple Watch - Apple Support

watchOS 10.2 re-enables left/right watch face swiping

• Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch.

• Scroll down and choose “Clock”.

• Toggle on the “Swipe to Switch Face” setting.

The UI changed so you tap and hold on the Apple Watch screen. Next swipe left or right to the desired watch face. Then tap the screen to make the selected watch face active.
