My dad gave me a Apple Watch and he said he found it in a box, when I tried paring it, it was on lock mode, how can I find the owner of this watch if I have no contact with them

My dad gave me a watch that he found in a box(that’s what he told me) when I tried paring it with my phone , I found out it was in lock mode and I needed to use someone else iCloud ID to u lock it. But I don’t have contact with that person because I don’t know who it is or what to do. What do I do with the watch when I have no connection with the past owner who maybe lost this watch.

Hello ~ You will not be able to use it. It’s activation locked to someone else’s Apple ID. Recycle it responsibly or turn it over as found to the authorities.
