Apple Watch S7 “Get Connected”

After recently updating my Apple Watch S7 to WatchOS 10 (and now 10.0.1) - I am no longer getting message or complication refresh sent to my watch unless I'm in Wifi. If I go to the Watch App while out of Wifi I get "Get Connected" message and clicking Turn On doesn't do anything.

**However if out of Wifi but am playing music on my phone, the "Now Playing" music is shown on my watch.

I've searched the forums and have tried:

Force Restart Watch
Force Restart Phone (last version installed)
Turn on/off Bluetooth and wifi
Unpair and erase, and set up as a new watch

Is it possible to downgrade the watch back to Watch OS 9?

Hey cankul,

While it isn't possible to downgrade, you can work through the issues you're having with the current software. You completed great steps already! In addition to those steps, did you also ensure your iPhone and Apple Watch are updated? The current software versions are watchOS 10.0.2 and iOS 17.0.3. If updates are needed, back up first:

Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Let us know how it goes after updating.

It looks like you've tried all of the steps we'd normally suggest for the issue you described, along with making sure both devices are up to date. We recommend letting Apple Support know what's been tried as they'll be in the best position to assist further: Get Support

Hey TammyW,

Thanks for the quick reply. My iPhone is currently on 17.0.3 and my watch is on 10.0.1 (latest version available according to the update section in the Watch App)
