Why doesn’t Siri read internet search results?

This is the one thing holding Siri back. If it did like Google I’d change over all my Google home to Apple home pods. I don’t get it though, why can’t it just read the results like Google? Siri and Google both search the same database, except Siri says “this is what I found” and opens a page you have to read, but Google reads the results. Google has been able to do this for the past 10 years now, I’d have expected Siri to have caught up by now. Is there some licensing issue preventing Apple from implementing this? I wouldn’t think so it’s just reading what it finds on Google. Can anyone shed light on this for me? So frustrating. #firstworldproblems
