Ever since I installed iOS 17, about 10 minutes after I use my AirPods, the same hint appears about how to mute or unmute them. I have no way of turning off AirPod hints. Anyone have any advice aside from returning them?

the above does not help. The issue is not tips. It is a AirPods notification pop up that randomly comes up on the phone (even when AirPods are not in use) informing us of how to use the AirPods to mute and unmute. It is random hint that comes up regularly sometimes unwarranted and it is very annoying.

I am irritated by the same notification. It shows up on both my iPad and iPhone whenever I take my AirPods out of the case & put them in my ears. I am forced to select “continue” each time. I don’t need this - I know how my AirPods work!!

To stop being notified when new tips arrive, we recommend that you try the steps here: Get tips on iPhone - Apple Support
To perform the recommended troubleshooting steps via the link above, complete the steps in the section titled "Get notified when new tips arrive."
1. Go to Settings> Notifications.
2. Tap Tips below Notification Style, then turn on Allow Notifications.
3. Choose options for the location and style of tip notifications, when they should appear, and more.
We recommend the steps above because if you follow them in reverse, they will show you how to stop being notified when new tips arrive.
