Since the latest update: Apple Remote to turn on TV no longer works

Since the latest update: CEC via the Apple TV HDMI to turn on TV no longer works. The remote will turn off the TV and control the volume but it no longer turns on the TV. The TV settings are the same. The only thing that changed was the new OS via Apple TV’s automatic update.

I must keep the additional TV remote handy in case it falls asleep or I’m on the other side of the room. Frustrating to lose a feature I had up until last week.

I'm having the same issue with the apple tv not able to change the volume with my Harman Kardon Enchant 1300 soundbar. It worked for a long time but with recent updates, the volume up and down is not working. I tried "learn remote" in settings but it still doesn't work. Anyone else is having this issue?

I can no longer turn ON the LG TV in my bed room using Siri. With the remote it's no problem. Really strange. It all used to work. HDMI-CEC is activated on the TV and it's working fine with the Sony TV in the living room.

I already updated the devices, disconnected them from the electricity, re-installed the Apple TV etc. Nothing solved it.
