Android,. Beats fit pro update stuck on "pending" in the app. Tried reinstalling app, resetting the Beats. Nothing helps.

Firmware update issue for beats fit pro for Android I got notification of a firmware update and followed directions. It got as far as "almost done". My Android phone screen turned off and when I turned it back on there was no sign of the updating process and when I open the app it says upload (up arrow) pending. How do I now do the firmware update?

Looks like it needed to be left for 24h with Beats in the charging casing and lid open. Would be good with some info around that being the process when you initiate and update
