Why does facetime keep saving to my cloud when i don't even have it installed on my iphone XS Max, and it's not even marked to save to cloud. Never did this till after most recent iOS 17.0.3 update. It's really annoying and using cloud storage.

Facetime is built into the operating system. As such, it may save that minuscule amount of data to iCloud. It's 0.0064% of your total storage, which you're nowhere close to using. I wouldn't worry about it.
So when I go to icloud in my iphone it says I have docs stored in cloud, then when I go to manage storage it literally says it's Facetime. So I delete it and it comes back. I don't have it even in my phone. I was gifted this phone and hate it, but it works for what I need till I can get another Android. I don't have anything other than the Apple store and safari on my iphone. I have no other Apple apps on my phone. I only use Google apps. Any idea why this is happening now?
What makes you think Facetime is saving....what?.... to iCloud?
Can you post a screenshot? What is the "it" you don't have on your phone?
