ultra watch 2 not syncing messages from iPhone

I’m currently experiencing this exact same issue on my Apple Watch SE. been happening for the last few weeks and I’m not sure what else to do. All devices are out to date as well.

My watch has been working normally since the fresh install. And today, while on a walk, the Messages lost sync. I had my phone with me, got a text message, and the Watch notification read, you received an image message from “…”, you can read it on your phone. And since then, 11 other texts came in and none populated the text threads even though I was getting notifications on my Watch. I did a reboot and Messages are synchronized again. I hope this was an anomaly.

To make sure we're on the same page, you'll see the notification for a message on your Apple Watch, but when actually checking the app, there is no new message?

Is the message in the thread on your paired iPhone?

Let us know and we'll continue based on that info.

I’m getting the same exact issue! I restart the watch and phone, and the sync works for about 36 hours, give or take, and then stops. I’m at home too when the sync stops. My phone is on me and I’m wearing the watch. I’ve had to start 3 times this week. I hoped the update today would resolve the problem, but it didn’t. I’ve unpaired my watch, and restored from a backup, and that didn’t work. It actually made it worse. I didn’t receive a few messages from the 11pm update, but surprisingly, when I send a message, the message is added to the respective thread.

Now I just wiped it all and starting from a new watch. Let’s see if this works long-term. My messages are synced as of now.

My Ultra 2 is not mirroring my iphone messages.

ex: I delete a message or read a message on my iphone and when I look at my watch, it shows unread or deleted thread is still there. Vice versa from apple watch to iphone too.

ex: not all my conversations are showing up on my watch but it shows on my iphone.

settings: app refresh on. mirror iphone is on.

Any help would be appreciated.
