Apple Pay worked perfectly with my Series 7 Apple Watch, but since switching to a Series 9 watch it doesn’t work at all. I get a haptic vibration, but the watch screen says check iPhone. There is no notification on the iPhone when checked. I have removed and added back my cards in all of my devices multiple times and still no luck.

I had the same issue with an iPhone 11 Pro IOS 17.0.3 and a brand new Watch 9
I signed out of my Apple ID on my iPhone and then added the cards back into the wallet, I was then able to add them to my phone.
It's a pain though as iMessage has now un-synced itself but I think it's worked (yet to try and pay for anything using my watch)
Apple: Please do better, this is the kind of clunky shizz we expect from Microsoft, not you!!
