iCloud - download images as JPG not working properly

Hello,

Recently, when accessing my iCloud account on desktop to download photos / videos, I'm having the following issue:

When I select several photos simultaneously to download, the files transferred are in HEIC format. However, if I go to "More download options" menu and select the "Most compatible JPG or MP4/H.264", the photos are downloaded once again in HEIC format.

Currently, to download photos in JPG format, I have to transfer file by file using the "Most compatible JPG or MP4/H.264" option, which makes the process time-consuming and not user-friendly.

Until the recent iOS17 and iCloud updates, I never had this kind of problem downloading files via the web version of iCloud in my desktop.

Can you please address this issue?
