Cannot find Dock in the Watch app

I want to add an app to the recent app screen on my watch running 10.0.1 and the instructions tell me to Tap the My Watch tab, then tap Dock. I have searched in vain and cannot find Dock. Can someone guide me to where it is?

You are reading the instructions which only apply to watchOS 9, or earlier. Access the "App Switcher" (formerly known as the "Dock") by following the directions in Use the App Switcher on your Apple Watch:

Open an app from the App Switcher

  1. Double-click the Digital Crown (in watchOS 9 and earlier, press the side button).

2 Swipe up or down, or turn the Digital Crown.

3 Tap an app to open it.

4 To close the App Switcher, press the Digital Crown (in watchOS 9 and earlier, press the side button).

Remove an app from the App Switcher

  1. To open the App Switcher, double-click the Digital Crown (in watchOS 9 and earlier, press the side button).
  2. Go to an app, then swipe left.
  3. Tap the remove button .
