CarPlay not working with iPhone 15pro

Hello there, I have jeep grand Cherokee 2019 model. I was using iPhone 13 and CarPlay was working good with usb cable. Now I got iPhone 15 but my CarPlay is not working. I have usb port attach to my car. So used lightning to usb-c adapter to connect my phone. But still car play is not working.

My new Iphone won't connect to Carplay in my car, I've brought the right cable to manually connect but it still will not connect. I've taken my car to the dealer and they couldn't get it to sync either. I've done all the other suggestions for the car and the phone: they don't work....ugh Apple fix this now!!!

I had this same issue with iPhone 15 and 2019 Toyota RAV4 which has the regular usb port receiver (not usb-c). I’ve noticed that it works fine only under the following circumstances: 1) iPhone battery charge must close to full; 2) you need an usb-c to regular usb adapter plugged in your car, 3) do not select a phone when prompted to do so. Then select CarPlay when either your car display or your phone shows the CarPlay icon.

Before realizing this, I tried my iPhone in mi daughter’s 2019 Acura and it connected with CarPlay directly without all the drama. But Apple has to do something about this. It’s a really annoying issue.

**PROBLEM SOLVED** This issue has been driving me nuts with my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee and iPhone 15 Pro. Carplay would SOMETIMES work, but if you even touched the usb cable, it would disconnet, and sometime wouldn't connect at all. I tried several different cables with the same issue so i was convinced that it couldn't be the cable until i realized that Apple states that carplay will work with a 480Mbps cable, not all 480Mbps cables are created equal. The Belkin BoostCharge Braided USB-C to USB-A Cord finally worked! Got mine on Amazon here: https://a.co/d/eiZZWMh

After almost a year of struggling with this, it is finally resolved.

After spending hours trying to connect my new iPhone 15 Pro to my 2019 Mazda, I bought the Apple USB-C to lightning adapter. I had been able to connect my phone via Bluetooth for phone, messages, and audio function but it would not connect to Car Play like my older iPhone SE or my husband's iPhone 14, which both used the lightning connector. I plugged the adapter into my phone and used the regular USB-A to lightning phone cable and booted my phone and logged in with the passcode. As soon as I turned on my car, prompts came up to connect to Car Play. I choose always enable. Immediately the Car Play app displayed in the car screen. Easy. This is definitely a fix that needs to be addressed by Apple. Hope this helps others.

This problem always happens when a new IOS update comes out.You can attempt to refresh the Apple CarPlay connection by resetting Uconnect by holding down the power button (under the screen) or using the factory reset option accessible through the vehicle's touchscreen. For me, carplay always works when I hold the power button for a long time until the screen turns off and turns on again, you just refreshed the system and apple carplay will work again, and it works wirelessly.

I finally got my 15 to work on car play after ALL the tricks didn’t work! My son came over and showed me to hook up to a data/file transfer cord not just a charger cord! They sell them right along side the regular charger but it says it on the package! They sell them even at five below.

it will still also charge your phone. This tether is literally the only one that works on his car or my car and we both have 2024 cars and iPhone 15s.
