MacBook Pro late 2013 13" Retina - which OS will it support?

Running macOS Catalina 10.15.7 adequately.

Software update wants to install macOS Big Sur 11.7.10, but always throws an error when starting the install.

Is it too much for this little guy to handle?

Or do I need to troubleshoot or call support?

Apple 2013 mid Mac air cannot be updated to Big Sur where the software is supports according to apple guidelines I recently got a old mid 2013 mac book air from some one else and reset to the factory settings and installed the operating system again it is OSX where I checked the eligible os which is big sir where I can't update directly because they ask minimum version to be 9.0 or higher which in my case 8.5. So I tried download the manual way and got the file and tried to run to install the 10. Version where it shows unsupported format. The hard disk is 160 and it's fully erased but space or the cache is not the problem since this looks a fresh. I watched many videos and read articles to find the issue but it didn't work until now. Also I had some updates which I did but there is a one error I got which is 102 error I googled and try to sort they easily ask me to restart or off the lap and on again which I did nothing worked.

Error creating bootable Sierra Installer "This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer." I am trying to create a bootable installer of OS Sierra for a 2012 Mac Air using a 2020 Mac Air. Following How to download and install macOS - Apple Support, downloaded InstallOS.dmg for Sierra 10.12, clicked and got to InstallOS.pkg, but when I clicked it I got error "This version of macOS 10.12.6 cannot be installed on this computer." I received this running Ventura and then upgraded to Sonoma and got the same error. I've searched answers here and elsewhere without success and appreciate any help folks can offer.

No. That MBP can run Big Sur. (It can't run Monterey or higher.)

I may have the problem identified. Install runs now but needs more storage space to proceed.

It's compatible. Try while in Safe Mode.

Use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support
