Adding Nastaliq changes system font

I want to write apple notes in Urdu in Nastaliq font, I have read some articles and saw some videos that require adding "Urdu(Nastaliq)" in iphone's Settings(General -> Language and Region -> add urdu Nastaliq). But the problem is, when I do that the entire system font including Settings font changes to a weird type where I can see the texts have become larger and even the line spacing increased. How can I get rid of that? I want to use the same default font for my system but Urdu(Nastaliq) only for apple notes.

I am having ios 17.0.1 running on my device.

Forced restart as well didn’t do the trick.

Please post a screen shot of your list in the Language settings. Normally you want Urdu lower down than some other language, and then choose the Nastaliq font in each app where you want it. I don't know offhand whether Notes offers than option.
