new songs added going to the bottom of the playlist

Hello there, I am experiencing some issues for some time with the Apple Music on iPhone, Mac and iPad (including iTunes on PC). Whenever I add a new song to the already existing playlist it goes straight to the bottom of it, even though after I have chosen the newest to be at the top - "Sort by-Playlist Order-Ascending". Could you please help me solve the problem, as it is frustrating to move every new song by dragging it, thank you in advance!

Hi Less,

I think there’s a bug in that playlist but I’m unsure.

I’ve tried swapping ascending/descending orders and it always adds the new song just before the oldest song in the playlist rather than after my most recently added.

I don’t have this problem in another separate playlist BUT if I create a new playlist and copy the songs from my affected to the new list, the problem remains.

I’ve checked to ensure Playlist Order is set as well. Any other ideas?

I've had the same issue for a long time. I use to be able to duplicate the playlist, change the sort by to date, and delete the original for it to sync properly. This worked for years up until recently. These days the duplicated playlist wont even show up on my iphone. Really hoping they fix this problem.

In order to add songs to the top of a playlist with Apple Music, you'd want to select 'Descending' and not 'Ascending'.

Hiya,

I can only make this work by ensuring the Sort Order is 'Descending'. The only annoying part is when I add an album to the playlist and it's (of course) added in the backwards order.
