after going from a iPhone 12 mini to this iPhone 15 with this iOS 17 have never been able to share location… I’m sure me and others have tried every single thing you guys have said and it does not work and NO it’s not our network it’s on your guys end or in the trash iOS you guys have made in 17… have more updates then a car gets oil changes! Would be nice if a update would fix issues then make things worse, feel it’s about time we all switch over to android til you guys can actually offer help on such expensive devices then try and say it’s on our end! Will be going into Apple tomorrow and they can fix it or eat this phone

Ever since iOS 17, Apple has required that you have "lock" capability on your phone in order to be able to share your location. In other words, you cannot use an iOS 17 iPhone to share location unless you have it locked with a passcode, touch ID, or facial ID. So the first thing to do to be able to share your location is to setup a passcode so you can lock your phone. Do this under settings-> Touch ID and Passcode.

Then once this is enabled, you need to turn on "Find My network" under Settings. Tap on your Apple ID at the very top of settings. Then tap "Find MY", then tap "Find My iPhone". On that screen, you will see a setting for "Find My network." Make sure this is ON, as well as the other 2 settings on that screen.

Hey Amirr_1990 ,

We'd recommend checking out this article as it provides steps to help ensure Location Services are enabled: Turn Location Services and GPS on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, the issue could be network related. We'd recommend connecting to a different Internet connection to see if the same issue occurs.

Thanks!

Hi Amirr_1990,

To help rule out software issues being the culprit, test the behavior after restarting your iPhone and after checking for a software update:

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly
1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.
2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.
3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.
4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.
5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

If the issue persists, reach out to Apple Support to help investigate the behavior. You can use the following link to reach out: Apple Support

Kind regards.

I have faced the same issue too. It's easy to fix.

Fix 1: Check Your Location Services

- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.

- Select Location Services and toggle it on.

Check out steps from this guide for clear photos:

Fix 2: Enable Share My Location

- Go to Settings > Find My iPhone.

- Tap on Share My Location and turn it on.

Fix 3: Restart iPhone

- Turn off Find My app service in Settings.

- Press and hold any Volume button with the Power button until the power slider appears.

- Check the steps Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

- Drag the power slider to turn off the device.

- Once off, press and hold the Power/Side button to turn it on.

If issue is still there check out steps from this guide aswell:
