How to return swipe up menu instead of using the button.

Hey, I'm a long-time user of the first Apple Watch version and I want back swipe up the menu for quick functions. How to return it back? I'm not happy with the button. Thank you!

It previously showed me current and recently used apps and permitted me to close them. It now shows Control Center. That is a feature for which I have no use. Downgrade watchOS to get swipe control center back? I understand how to get to control center with the oval but hate this like many others. My question is if it is possible to go back to a WatchOS version that utilizes the swipe up? It’s what I use most often so I really don’t care if I lose something else in order to get it back.
