Sending iMac for repair
I have an obsolete iMac early 2009 I erased the hard drive but OS X wouldn’t reinstall! I’ve tried everything to fix this, so can I send it in for repair or bring it to a Genius Bar?

Apple Store Genius Bars will not take in obsolete Mac's for repair.
What you need to do, is locate an Apple Authorized Service Provider that is willing to work on it.
