Install cannon mg2520 printer to ipad

I have a 16.5 9th generation IPad I’m trying to install a Canon MG2520 printer.

The printer is not Wi-Fi or bluetooth. Will the IPad accept the printer?

iOS/iPadOS doesn’t natively support direct connection to a USB Printer. Instead, these devices use a network connection to supported printers typically over WiFi - or if explicitly supported by the printer, a wired ethernet connection.

Apple AirPrint is a driverless connection protocol. A high proportion of modern printers intended for Home, SoHo and Business environments now support AirPrint:

Hi,

Since the Canon PIXMA MG2520 is a USB-only printer, would it be correct to assume that you are using it with a computer (Mac or PC)?

If so, there may be a workaround for the iPad. If your computer is a Mac (running OS X 10.9 Mavericks or later), a third-party Mac app like Printopia could be used. The idea would be to let the Mac act as a print server for the USB printer, and share the printer on a wireless network. Similar applications have earlier been available for Windows PCs as well. That way, it would be possible to print wirelessly from an iPad or iPhone.

Otherwise, you would have to find a way to transfer files from the iPad to the computer, and print from there.
