Syncing photos to a Windows 11 machine via iCloud for windows (14.2) is very slow

Syncing photos to a Windows 11 machine via iCloud for windows (14.2) is very slow, particularly downloading original images to the Windows machine's drive (using the "Always keep on device" option). For example, a library with +10,000 photos had only ~10 originals synced within >24 hours of running non-stop.

Restarts, reinstalls, etc. did not change the behavior. Trying on a different machine (also Windows 11) resulted in the same issue.

This issue has been going on for months now, should I say years..? At least since the launch of Windows 11.

This makes the integration in Microsoft Photos app just unusable...

Or simply owning an iPhone + a Laptop just useless!

Windows, Windows 10

I have this problem too. I also entered a question just like you did, same symptoms and attempts to resolve with no resolution from Apple. Along with many others over the last couple years.

Apple developers seems to be just ignoring this problem. Maybe it is a "feature"??????

Can someone from Apple PLEASE do something about this, or give us suggestions other than checking our connection or other apps using CPU (which for all of us is NOT the problem!).
