External display won't get video signal after MacOS update

Hi, my system worked flawlessly until a MacOS Monterey 12.7 security update (yesterday, 3 Oct 2023): the external display (LG 32EP950-B) won't get video signal after going in standby or being manually shutdown. After turning on the display the system will recognize the display but will not send video signal.

The only workarounds I found so far are:

  • to reboot the machine;
  • in System Preferences: to change display refresh rate to 50 Hertz and back to 60 Hertz.

Any way to fix this problem and make it work as it should (as it was before the update)?

Thank you in advance.

Hi!

If the connected display is still not recognized by your Mac, try any of the following: Unplug the display from your Mac, then plug it back in. Ensure that the cable you are using is firmly attached to the appropriate port. Check that the cable you are using to connect your display is the right one.

Thanks!
