iOS 17 Photo Shuffle Not Working

Hello - I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I'm trying to setup a new wallpaper on my iPhone by using the "photo shuffle" feature, and when I go to select people and pets, it's only showing me that I have 2 "people" in my list. However, when I look in my photos app, I have 30+ people / pets that are assigned (with names) - I've restored my phone twice to iOS 17.0.2 and it keeps happening.

Is anyone else running into this issue?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. For your photos of people and pets to appear, your iPhone has to complete the following steps:

Index your photo library.
Find pet images.

Your iPhone must be locked and connected to power during the detection process. Depending on what tasks are running in the background and the size of your photo library, this process could happen quickly or take up to a few days to complete.
