I am in the process of installing Apple watchOS 10 on my Apple watch 6. It has been a few hours on the screen with the wheel/clock. The circle is complete but it has not finished the install and restarted. What do I do now?

I have 2 options.
1) I can let it sit there until the update completes or the universe freezes.
or
2) I can power the watch down.
That resolved the problem. I saw the apple then the wheel popped up on the screen and went through about 1 third of the way and then the apple appeared then the welcome screen to the new OS.
