Mac Mail types Predictive Text for me before I type them.

Ever since I upgraded to 14.0 my mac mail thinks it knows better than I do what word I'm about to write. Sometimes it changes 3 times when it sees that it is not the word I'm going for. It shows up in light gray and it's driving me crazy. I think it's called Predictive Text and I don't like it. Bad enough when I'm trying to send a message on iPhone. Is there any way to STOP it trying to think in advance for me, without turning off spelling error corrections? Thanks in advance.
