Battery problem?

I just bought a new MacBook Air 2020 M1. I set It up and leave it on 90%. When I came back, after an hour, it was almost completely drained (15%). Is it known issue for new MacBooks or is something wrong with it?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 13.3

This is abnormally quick battery drain for a brand-new M1 MacBook Air.

First, update your MacBook to the latest version of macOS and see if the problem persists: Update macOS on Mac - Apple Support

If the problem persists, you can use the Activity Monitor app to see which process is draining your battery: View energy consumption in Activity Monitor on Mac - Apple Support

If an app you installed is the culprit, consider uninstalling the application or contacting the publisher of the application. If there doesn't appear to be a particular process rapidly draining your battery, consider reaching out to Apple Support. Your MacBook is covered by a one-year warranty, even if you didn't purchase AppleCare+. Contact - Official Apple Support
