After downloading ios17, Homepod & Iphone siri requests are cancelling each other out. I ask Siri something & I see Siri activating on both devices then they just stop. Was working just fine before ios17. Wait for an update fix from Apple?

Same here - got a HomePod mini with both iPhone 13 Pro and 15 Pro all running the latest iOS & HomePod Software respectively.
Apple, a fix please.
It's been very annoying since iOS 17; my workaround so far is try to remember to place both phones face down in order to use Siri on HomePod mini...
Just found this comment from user curiousity_improves on reddit thread Siri seems really borked after iOS 17 HomePod OS 17.
After resetting my HomePod mini, the issue was fixed.
Hope this will fix yours too.
Had to do the reset again today after the upgrade to 17.1
This is very annoying & disappointing as the automations would have to be reconfigured 🤦🏻♂️
