cellular data not working at specific location

Every day when I go to work, I’m suddenly unable to use my phone’s cellular data at all and I get this error. “An update is required…” and a ⚠️ symbol will appear at the top of the screen, or it will say “Searching,” or “No Service.” Every day when I leave the building, I restart my phone or reset my network settings and my cellular data works again. Why is it only happening at this specific location? My iPhones have never had this error in 10 years. It feels unsafe to not have access to my cellular network for over eight hours inside of this building every day. I work in a school…

Please start here if you are noticing issues staying connected to cellular data with your iPhone: If you see No Service, Searching, or SOS on your iPhone or iPad.


If this only seems to be an issue at a specific location, you may want to check the coverage area with your cellular provider for more help.
