ios 17 won't let me search messages anymore

Message search doesn’t show all results Ever since I updated to ios17, whenever I try to search for a word or specific text in my messages, it only shows texts from this past month rather than all results. all my messages are backed up and aren’t deleted so I don’t know what else to do

I can’t search for messages before a few weeks ago When I go to search in my messages it only shows messages up to about 3 weeks ago. I’ve tried syncing to ICloud and it doesn’t help, and I’ve tried to turn iCloud messaging off and clicking disable and download but that didn’t help either. For a while it was saying “ more results will be shown when messages finishes indexing” and I scrolled through the community to figure that out and it’s no longer showing that but still won’t let me search older messages. Any ideas? My phone just automatically updated about two days ago and that when this started.

Hi lexidancer_13,

As there are no settings within iOS to control this function, the best option would be to contact Apple Support directly to inquire or investigate further.

I cant search gor anything or open my mail i just get a blank screen nothing notta zip. Thanks apple
