Apple Car Play not working on iPhone 15

Update your iPhone or iPad

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Car play is not working and I have done all the things above about 50 times. Every since the updates this has happened. I have also done the car play not working enable carplay on Settings I have done it all.

I do not have the iPhone 15, I have an iPhone 11. But I do have a Honda CRV and the other day Apple CarPlay just disappeared. I don't know if it was a phone glitch, if there was some thing with an update from Honda, I just know it disappeared, and was not working.

I ended up going to the dealer today because I did all of the above steps several times. They ended up resetting the entertainment system to factory settings. I lost my radio stations, my seat settings, etc. but, once we did that, CarPlay came back. And I was able to make phone calls, use, Maps, text, messages, and everything I could before.

I don't know if that will work for you or not. I don't know if it's because it is a problem with the iPhone 15. However, as silly as I felt going to the dealer for this, within 15 minutes it was working properly again.

So, I tried all the things that everyone everywhere was saying to try. I tried old phones (to see if it was a iphone 15 issue), system updates, etc. and nothing would connect. I did the factory reset on the apple play in my car and it worked. Done.
