AirPods Pro 2 lose sound with Samsung TV

Hi,

I have two tv at my home Samsung & Sony. This problem occurs only on Samsung TV 😞 This situation is very frustrating 😒

Same problem here, unpairing, reset, fw update - nothing helps. It”s so annoying :(

this is been happening since I got the AirPods pro 2, a last month, I usually watch YouTube and when goes to ads mutes itself and I have to switch to tv audio and the to the AirPods, it’s kind of annoying bc with my previous AirPods I didn’t experience that. These ones supposed to be better.

Hey I also have this problem.

To add to the issue, whenever I skip in a show or anything it goes silent.

However, if you have another connection through HDMi (PS5, Apple TV, Xbox, Freeview) it'll not disconnect at all.

So if this is as enraging as it is to me for whatever reason, get a cheap Xbox 360 or ps3 or even 2 and just run ur streaming services off that.

But however I'm flatting so may be more pertinent to me than y'all

The partial workaround I’ve been using is to pause and play via the SmartThings app’s remote control feature. However, for more frequent pause and playing / rewinding via the app. The problem still occurs, but for one off pause and play, it seems to be better

This is what works. Use gesture control on your AirPods and swipe up to raise the volume on the AirPods. If you do this enough and get the little haptic feedback beeps you will eventually hear the volume. This worked for me after a year of them not working and learning this from someone else.

The problem is the AirPods interfere with the remote control signal. If you connect the AirPods and do not touch the remote they will work. But as soon as you start using the remote, it will interfere with the signal and kill it. I can’t get Apple to pay attention to this problem and fix it. Their tech support people are dumb and they don’t like it when you fix the problem

Tried verifying your theory by using an APP instead of the remote to control my SAMSUNG tv. Please keep in mind: iPhone‘s Bluetooth was deactivated and the app uses WIFI to control the TV.

exact same issue > AirPodPro Gen 2 stop to stream sound whenever you scroll or navigate within the Samsung menu. Never had that issue with with AirPodPro Gen1.

@apple: so you support Samsung with native APPs (Apple TV) but you don’t care about this?

Remote control interference is the problem.
