How to remove microphone from SMS / Text / iMessage window

When I close my wallet on my phone after sending a text message it often accidentally activates the microphone and starts recording what is being said (I think for dictation - the the recording 'wave' is red)). I do not want this to happen. From similar questions, I think it can be deactivated, by disabling Siri which I do not want to do. I think I would like to remove the microphone screen toggle bat another solution might work.

You can disable Dictation under the Settings > General > Keyboard menu. This resource has more details on that feature, for reference: Dictate text on iPhone - Apple Support

This does not disable this annoying feature! It might disable dictation but it does not get rid of that stupid little red symbol on the right side of message screen that creates this problem. I just had it record sounds for 19 minutes. 🤯🤯🤯🤯

Sorry, that does NOT work my Dictation is disabled as well as SIRI. Perhaps you have a better solution.

Actually I do not think it is the dictation as it is not a little microphone it is the stupid red <<|>> that appears in the iMessage or test message box when sending a text.
