Since I started updating the OS to 17.02 today, my phone's notepad, messaging, and other applications have been constantly hanging. I've previously restarted my phone several times, but it's still not working properly. I was hoping that updating to OS 17.02 would make my phone run quicker. Please take action in response to my issue.

Going to leave this here in case other users have the same issue as I suppose this user has either updated or kept using the phone as is. When a battery deteriorates beyond a certain threshold (80-85% for most electronics) it does not deliver enough or consistent power to the hardware, including amongst other things, the processor. Which leads to erratic behaviour, glitches and in the long term can damage to the actual components as they would not have enough power to run properly. Replacing batteries is not a matter of use-case scenario or preference, but a necessity with current battery technology. If the user's phone was at 79% battery health this may as well have been the reason it was struggling to keep up, especially when upgrading to a more demanding OS/apps.

It sounds like you're referring to the third-party Notepad app instead of the built-in Notes app, correct? These steps might help If an app on your iPhone or iPad stops responding, closes unexpectedly, or won’t open. Thank you for your assistance (J_Johnnyboy). As of now, I'm following the steps you gave me, and at the end of each one, I get a response and feedback on the performance of my iPhone 12 mini.
My main concern is that since I started updating to IOS 17.02, I've been experiencing issues with my main program, "Notepad." I don't want to message Apple or support personnel if I don't have a problem on my phone; I want you to help me solve or figure out how to fix this. I regret updating to IOS 17.02. I should not update to the latest iOS because I have never had a problem with my Notepad. :(
