Folder suggestion when moving email(s) from inbox

I just upgrade to IOS 17. Now when I choose to move an email from my inbox, I no longer get a suggested folder. This was a super handy feature. How can I get it back? It’s been almost 2 days now. I even deleted the “mail” app and then reinstalled it. Still no folder suggestion. Help please?

Is this really fixed? I checked my iOS and it is 17.0.2 and it is not fixed. Did you mean iOS 17.0.1? It is super helpful and time-saving and I just called Apple and he didn't know what I was talking about, put me on hold for a long time, and came back telling me that he talked to a colleague -- that's not a thing they know of... sigh.

Hi Dorain1,

That’s interesting, didn’t know it.

But, that does NOT solve my issue.

It’s just another way to do things.

Normally, I’ll tap EDIT (top right)…

Then I can select individual emails…

Then at bottom is mark/move/trash

Before IOS 1.17 if I chose MOVE…

a folder would be suggested

For example, an email from my doctor might suggest the folder MEDICAL if I had already moved such emails to that folder. It was based on past choices.

But now, I must browse my folders to choose the right one to move to.

It was super helpful before!

Why was it removed???

Thank you,

wmeeryeck

Hi wmeeryeck,

Thanks for reaching out and posting in Apple Support Communities.

You should be able to select what you want to appear when swiping left to move email. Below is found in Organize email in mailboxes on iPhone - Apple Support. See if this helps you out.

Manage an email with a swipe

While viewing an email list, you can use a simple swipe to move individual emails to the Trash, mark them as read, and more. Do any of the following:
* To reveal a list of actions, slowly drag an email to the left until the menu appears, then tap an item.
* To quickly use the rightmost action, swipe all the way to the left.
* Swipe right to reveal other actions.
To choose the actions you want to appear in the menus, go to Settings  > Mail > Swipe Options (below Message List).

If you are still wanting to a feature come back that's no longer available, you can leave feedback to Apple letting them know you would like to see returned. Just go to Product Feedback - Apple

Take care!
