icant add new number in whatsup

to existing contact in my I phone although I gave access to contact

iPhone adds +1 to numbers and making them undeliverable My phone has my contacts listed numbers like (315) ***-**** When I try to text to one of those numbers, a 1 gets added to the front of the number, and then I get an undeliverable message saying the number has too many digits. You will need to contact WhatsApp for help with their software.
