I have an iPad Pro 11” and a Studio Display. I also have the Most recent iPad Pro 12.9”. The 12.9” iPad Pro works perfectly well with the Studio Display in extended mode. The 11” only works in mirrored mode with the same cable.
Does anyone have any ideas why this might be?
All are operating on iPad OS 17.01

You need a 3rd generation iPad Pro 11" in order to use the extended display feature. If yours is older, it can only mirror.

So since I only have the 5th Gen iPad Air, does that mean I could only mirror and not extend?
