iCloud Photos taking up double space vs Google Photos

Yes, I have observed the same. I recently moved to iCloud and it's taking double size compared to Google photos and Cloud.

Well, you can use more icloud storage, if you back up or synced other data to icloud.

What upload settings are you using on Google Photos?
