I Have an Iphone 14 pro Max and had purchased the apple care for 2 years. However, I would like to trade it for an Iphone 15 pro Max. I would like to know if the Apple care will be automatically transferred to my new device. Thanks for letting me know.

It won't. AppleCare isn't transferable between units except when getting a replacement through a service claim, in which case that happens automatically.

No. You can cancel it, and get a prorated refund, and then get a new Apple Care+ plan for the new iPhone.
it was not automatic when my device was stolen. There were all kinds of discrepancies in my account and I had to go back and forth with Apple for a couple of days and many screenshots. So I recommend that if you have the need, that you be proactive and take the reigns so you can be sure from the start you are covered on your most current device and not the one they replaced. Just in case.
