watchOS 10

Any way to go back to the previous version? I really, really miss the feature that allowed you to swipe left and right to change watch faces. I have 6 different watch faces installed with many different complications which I use daily. It is now a pain to switch back and forth between them where it use to be so easy. This one feature alone makes me wish I had never upgraded.

I understand the upgrade to WatchOS 10 is a one way process. Rollback to WatchOS 9 would require the watch to be returned to Apple for reflashing in the service workshop.

The best advice is to learn to live with the new method which was introduced in response to user requests and too many unexpected changes to watch faces using the old method. Maybe the older models had less sensitive screens, but it was certainly a problem for many users with the most recent models.

If you can't tolerate a 1-second touch to enable scrolling between faces then go to Feedback - Watch - Apple and make your views known.

Already gave feedback. Apparently I'm not the only one not liking the change. Poll on MacRumors has 68.6% of responders not liking it either.

Based on the number of posts about just this subject in discussions.apple.com, it is one of the most disliked UI changes. Maybe even higher than the macOS System Preferences to System Settings style change.

Also don't know why I'm getting answers from the UK as I'm in the US (not that it makes any difference, just wondering)

discussions.apple.com is a world wide volunteer user-to-user technical support forum. While the UK speaks a funny kind of American, we can generally understand what they say 😁

And the forums get posts from around the world, not just from the U.S., so it makes sense that English speaking users would respond from anywhere in the world.

Also it means there is a better chance a volunteer is able to responds 24/7, as apposed to when the U.S. is typically awake.
