iPhone 12 Pro gets unresponsive after update to iOS 17 and 17.0.1

iPhone 12 Pro gets unresponsive after update to iOS 17 and 17.0.1. It is not frozen, the screen reacts to my touch but it is kind of in a "lethargic" state. I have to force re-start the phone. But this happens a few times a day. I noticed that it mostly happens after I take off the phone from the charger. But not always.
