Rear camera not saving photos to phone

Does your iPhone need updating to iOS 17.0.2? Do you have a recent backup for the data in your iPhone in iCloud or your computer? With the rear camera working and saving the photos using other apps, it seems like there could be an issue with the Camera app. To resolve this, we recommend backing up your iPhone and then reinstalling the software while in recovery mode. This does require a computer. Reinstalling the software while in recovery mode should keep your data in place and only reinstall the software, but please do back up just in case. After backing up, follow the steps in the section "Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again" and be sure to choose "Update" when prompted. This is the option that will help to keep your data in place: If you can't update or restore your iPhone or iPod touch - Apple Support
