iPhone 15 apple music app keeps freezing

Just purchased a iPhone 15pro running iOS 17.0.2 and have found that the apple music app keeps freezing when playing a song. Initially thought it was a CarPlay issue, but have narrowed it down to the music app.

Have rebooted the phone - no change.

Have reinstalled the music app - worked and then froze again.

Tad disappointing...

Thoughts on a fix?

Once it restarts, it starts on the previous or next previous track played, and resumes normally for a little bit. Any ideas?

Music stops for a second when iPhone screen turns off or on Since updating to iOS 18 music stops for a second (like a micro freeze) whenever iPhone screen turns off or on (e.g when I lock my phone or when I receive a notification and the screen turns on). Music still plays in the background this only happens when a change happens to the screen. Tested with Spotify, apple music or a voice recording.

Music on 16.4.1 When playing music after this update in the Music app the songs freeze while using apple car play . When just shuffling the songs from the phone by itself if I try and delete a song on the playlist it freezes the app. I am on a 2nd gen iPhone SE. I have tried offloading the app and reinstalling after restarting my phone. I tried clearing space on the phone even though I had used less than half of the available space used. None of that worked.

I just got an Iphone 15 and am having the same problem. The music gets choppy and pauses/skips when connected to bluetooth devices. I have found that it happens when I move and use my phone but seldom when it's just sitting on a desk.

Sorely disappointed Apple.
